Proverbs 15:22 |
WelcomeThe word of God for July, is found in Luke 10 : 19 . Behold I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy. Nothing shall by any means hurt you. Stand tall this month and fear not. May this be your victorious cry. Amen. Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Association is a Christian faith organisation. We reach out to the less priviledged, encourage young people and share the good news of the soon return of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Our members reside in different parts of the United Kingdom and abroad. We continue to assist wherever we can here in the UK and abroad, notably on the continent of Africa. Cornerstone is run on a voluntary basis by an Executive Committee. This group of individuals are elected by the membership every August at its annual retreat. Funding for the running of the organization and its various projects is provided through member’s subscription and donations from kind individuals and organisations. To date, it has / is:
In May, we hosted a fun day at Hyde Park in Central London. Part of the activities included face painting, tug of war, sack race, badminton, football and so on. Some passers-by joined in the events whilst others stopped to enjoy the thrill. Every two months, we meet in various parts of the country to worship and encourage each other. Our last day of fellowship was held on 17 July in Watford. The focus was on young people. The next one is scheduled for 18 September. On 26 september Cornerstone will play host to The Donut Man in Bracknell which is near Reading. Before then, we will meet for a week long programme of activities in August. This year’s retreat, will be held at Aberystwyth University, Wales from Monday 23 August to Sunday 29 August, see our events page for details. Presently, one of our young people has embarked on a mission of mercy to Durban, South Africa. Somidotun, a student at Bristol university has travelled under the banner of SKIP. This charity helps to improve the lives of children through health promotion, nutritional support and community empowerment through youth and women’s groups. On a sad note, Cornerstone lost one of its own on 16 July. Seun Adedayo passed away in an accident by the water side while on holiday in Sweden. He was 25. Seun was a First Class graduate of the Royal Holloway College of the University of London and a Distinction Masters Graduate of the University of Southampton. He studied Mathematics and Statistics. Seun loved the Lord and touched many lives most especially young people. As far as we know, his funeral is likely to take place early next month in East London. We will post details on this site once it has been confirmed. Please pray that the Lord will comfort his parents and his brothers at this time. May God remove every trace of sadness from our midst in Jesus' Name. Amen. Thank you for supporting our young people. Every kind deed helps.
